Its name comes from a group of seven islands in the Red Sea between Djibouti and Yemen, a natural passage linking East Africa and West Asia.
Working across these two regions, Sawabi creates jewelry, objects, incense, and perfume.
Its language draws from ritual and craft, from ancient forms and tribal gestures distilled into contemporary expression.
Each creation begins with a historical or spiritual reference and is conceived for what Sawabi calls “modern tribes”; people guided by curiosity, meaning, and a strong sense of continuity.
サワビ は、Ylias N.A.O. によって創設され、2026年に東京で発表されました。
その名は、ジブチとイエメンの間に位置する紅海の七つの島々に由来し、東アフリカと西アジアを結ぶ自然で象徴的な通り道を意味しています。
これら二つの地域を横断しながら、サワビはジュエリー、オブジェ、香、そして香水を制作しています。
その表現は儀式とクラフトに根ざし、古代の造形や部族的な身振りを取り入れながら、現代的なかたちへと昇華しています。
それぞれの作品は歴史的または精神的な参照点から生まれ、サワビが「モダン・トライブ（現代の部族）」と呼ぶ人々、好奇心、意味、そして強い連続性の感覚に導かれる人々のためにデザインされています。
