Coil Ring II

Across ancient cultures (from Greece and Persia to East Africa) coiled rings were more than adornment. Worn close to the skin, these metal spirals served as portable currency, valued by weight and exchanged through trade, dowry, or inheritance. Their design offered not only meaning but function: the coil’s natural flexibility allowed for slight adjustments in size, making each ring adaptable over time. Offered here in a variety of coil shapes and wire gauges, each ring invites choice: of scale, of fit, of form. A design born of necessity, reimagined as a language of subtle variation and continuity
